Karolina Wycisk is a freelance dance manager and producer. In 2017-2019, she collaborated with Institute of Music and Dance as the main coordinator of the Polish Dance Platform (2017, 2019), the review of polish dance for an international audience. Co-curator of three editions of Studio Dance Scene (May-July 2017, together with Katarzyna Bester) and two editions of the IDIOM Polish dance festival in Prague (2017, 2018). Initiator, together with Magdalena Zamorska, of choreographic residencies in the Wrocław BWA (2019). A PhD student at the Jagiellonian University, she is writing her dissertation on dramaturgy in contemporary dance performances. Her critical and research texts are published in “Didaskalia”, “Teatr”, and the taniecPOLSKA.pl website. Co-founder of the Performat Foundation, where she conducts educational and artistic projects. As a manager, she cooperates with independent female polish choreographers Renata Piotrowska-Auffret and Holobiont collective. She runs performat production — in movement management.
