MOVE BACKWARD
legs in front
rock back over sitz-bones
slowly gently lower vertebra
belly contracts
knees lift
heels slide toward buttocks
MEET THAT
strong dense thing behind
(loyal partner through decades)
release under gravity
horizontal now arms by my side
feet flat
occipital ridge resting on the floor
BETWEEN THAT AND THIS PHYSICALITY
is a barrier
no merging yet releasing yet melting
the shock of supine
eyelids slowly close out-breath
vanishes almost
subtle shiftings of bones
of flesh
MAKE AN ANGLE
push down into heels
roll pelvis back
curl coccyx
reach knees forward into space
hips rise
FOLLOW THE LEAD OF MAKING
BUILD A COMMUNITY
lower weigh
touch each vertebra again
again press up
rocking raised hips
side to side
lift toes up
palms of hands
turn up then down
then one up one down
head turns toward upward facing palm
finding delight
now resting
floor becomes dark earth
mycelium moves through ancient body
breath drops down
back of heart
rests
roll to side
sleeping child
(weigh pressing on sore arm)
teeth rest against one another
breath fills back flesh
spreads sideways
shoulder blades slouch
